Acuvue. I work at an optical lab and I always thought the acuvue looked better.

I got a prescription for Acuvue 2 contact lenses. My optometrist said that I can get Freshlook Radiance or Dimensions for color, though I’ve found that neither of those are to my satisfaction. I do, however, like my current Acuvue 2 contact lenses and found out that they produce these in color as well.
My question is simply whether or not I can use my regular Acuvue 2 prescription to buy their “Color Opaques”.
As they are made by the same people then your optician should be happy enough to use the same prescription for the colored lenses too. If you are ordering your lenses online, then they will need to verify your prescription with your optician first, so just ring up in advance to make sure that they are happy to do this for you

I’ve worn Acuvue2 contacts for about 5 years now, but because I work at the computer often, my eye doc recommended I try both the Acuvue Oasys and Advance lenses because my eyes dry out. Does anyone wear any of these lenses? What are your thoughts on these contacts? Thanks.
Acuvue Oasys is generally the better lens of the three. It is far more comfortable in the eyes and much more moist. this means that you should get less dryness with these lenses after using them on the computer. Also remember to blink more when you are on the computer as most people naturally forget to do this.
Most my patients have reported back that they prefer the Oasys lens. all three feel equally good to begin with but end of day comfort is far better in the oasys lens which means you can tolerate them in your eyes for much longer. Also, it is more breathable and so lets more oxygen through to your eyes and so is better for the health of your eyes

Hi, I’m new to contact lens, I would like to know which is better. Suggestions please?
I won’t be wearing it very often, so will disposal contacts be better?
For what it’s worth, I’ve been wearing contacts for years and through a few different switches, I’ve always come back to Acuvue. Specifically, Acuvue Oasys generally works for me. They allow a lot of moisture in and work extremely well for continual use (2 to 4 weeks).
As far as cost goes, if you’re able to get them at a Sam’s Club, BJs, or Costco, you can get pretty decent prices per box still.

I started using contact lenses a month ago, and I use Acuvue Oasys contact lenses. I tried Acuvue Advance 2 first, but my eyes felt extremely dry with that type of lens, so I switched to Oasys. However, my eyes are still dry at times (although not as much with the Advance 2), and I can still feel the lenses in my eyes with a little irritation. I’ve tried Opti-free Rewetting Drops, but the comfort these drops offer doesn’t last very long. I’m looking for answers derived from research and personal experience.
